After Pregnancy weight lossJuly 31, 2020

Weight loss after pregnancy is a long road to travel. It will happen in dedicated scheduled stages of 6 to twelve months. Though the mother loses half of their baby weight by six weeks during postpartum, the rest of the weight loss happens in months. Since the natural weight loss is less happening, a healthy diet plan along with systematic exercise can help the mother to reduce weight and regain shape. As the mother is breastfeeding, a healthy diet is essential too. You’ve just been through a strenuous feat - and you're experiencing the withdrawal of pregnancy hormones, which can be tiring. With a newborn and irregular sleeping time, it will be hard to find the time to eat. But skipping meals can make energy levels lag and it won't help you lose weight. The better way is to eat small portions six to eight times. Avoid all forms of junk food. Being a new mother and is nursing, your body needs maximum nutrition. Foods that are heavy in the nutrients and light in calories and fat are ideal to reduce weight. Including Fruits and vegetables, lean meats, fish and seafood, whole grains (oats, grainy bread, beans, pulses), eggs, and healthy snacks like yogurt, nuts, and seeds is ideal to reduce weight.

Omega3 fatty acids in fish help in the development of a healthy brain and nervous system in the newborn. Fishes like Tuna, Sardines, Anchovy are best sources of DHA Omega 3 fatty acid Yogurt, Low-fat milk, & cheese, helps the mother and the newborn with much-needed vitamins B and D as well as calcium. Consuming milk and yogurt, which are high in the calcium and proteins increases the strength of your and the newborns. The low-fat nature of these foodstuffs also provides the added advantage of not packing on the pounds. Lean meat, chicken, and beans are low in fat and high in protein and fiber and will keep you feeling full for longer. Mothers during postpartum needs 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day. Fiber-rich foods keep you feeling fuller for longer, they also tend to be lower in fat and sugar (i.e. fruits and veggies), which will keep your diet healthy.

Drink more water. Water is the elixir of life. Having 3-4 liters of fluids daily will help you to flush unwanted toxins from your system. It increases metabolism. Plus, getting enough fluids will make you feel fuller and help ward off cravings. 5. Confuse your stomach and watch it shrink

During your pregnancy, the body stores more Fat to prepare for postpartum and breastfeeding. Fat is a great source of energy. During breastfeeding this stored fat converts to breast milk essentials. Following a healthy diet and regular breastfeeding helps you to gradually lose the baby weight. This also ensures that both you and your baby maintain good health.

To regain their original body after baby delivery, many women do a lot of cardio and follow crash diets. Although this might show desired results in a relatively shorter time, it has some drawbacks. The rapid cut down of fat releases toxins that ends up in breast milk, making it less nutritious for the baby. You should, therefore, endeavor to eat well and take things slow. Gradually, the weight gain after pregnancy will reduce and you will be back as you were before.
